Shoulder science in practice - The motor control of the shoulder

Efficient training for shoulder issues

Target audience: Physiotherapists

Speaker: Wieger Heijenk

In recent years, the understanding of the influence of pain on the motor system has increased significantly. Pain in the shoulder area can lead to maladaptive movement behavior. This often results in changes in the scapular movement pattern, which are complex and multi-layered. However, most exercise therapies only focus on the intramuscular component.

In this two-day course you will learn about the latest developments in motor control. We deal with the theoretical justification and scientific evidence of the training theory.
The theory is illustrated using MRI and ultrasound images as well as videos from practice.

You actively train the practical application in the practice room.

The course takes place in English, but Wieger Heijenk also speaks German.
